Lester E Jones, an ordained Baptist deacon, accepted Christ at the age of 11 and has spent his adult life teaching Adult Sunday School Classes and Bible Studies. Additionally, he planned and conducted ordination training classes for men preparing to be ordained as deacons. Holding an American Association of Christian Counseling Certificate, established a counseling ministry, and served as a lay counselor, using biblical truths to help others.
Lester is a native of Marion, Alabama where a sister and brother still reside. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Alabama, obtained a master degree from Central Michigan University and a doctorate of philosophy from Capella University. Upon completing a career as an officer in the US Air Force, he spent over 20 years in the financial industry.
He is married to Jean, a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who has authored a children book titled “The Tree that went Bald.” In November 2020, the two will celebrate 44 years of marriage together. They have two beautiful daughters, Sheilene Creecy and T’neesha Jones. Additionally, they have a great son-in-law, Jamal Creecy, and two wonderful grandchildren, Kaya and Kindred.
As noted on Lester’s LinkedIn page, he has devoted himself to simplifying for others the complexities of life. “Am I a Sinner Too?” is his attempt to make plain to Christians the gift God has given through His son, Jesus. His inspiration to write on this subject derived from today’s popularization of the phrase, “we are all sinners,” which is in direct opposition to the position held by his Dad and what he believes scriptures teach.
